Nigerian Army hands over 12 officers to EFCC for investigation

The Nigerian Army has sent 12 Army officers have to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), for investigation.

According to a statement by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the officers “comprised of 3 serving Major Generals, and one retired, 3 Brigadier Generals, 4 Colonels and 1 Lieutenant Colonel”.

Colonel Usman also stated that at the end of the investigation, any of the officers found culpable will be tried by a military Court Martial.

The Army however did not state the offences for which the officers were being investigated by the anti-graft agency.
