For the second time the 2016 Nigerian budget estimate has been given to President Muhammadu Buhari in the state House.
The document was given to the president by his legislative aides, Senator Ita Enang and Alhaji Kawu Isma’ila accompanied by the Minister of National Planning senator Udoma Udo Udoma.
The budget was earlier presented to the president who upon studying it realised that it fell short of the figures he sent to the National Assembly and that no explanation was given to him.
The president therefore returned the document to the lawmakers. Alhaji Isma’ila said “for sure the budget is now with the president but he has to study it again before appending his signature.
He said the president would not waste time in signing it into law.
The Minister of National Planning said with the budget on ground once signed Nigeria will witness fast developments.
Former President Obasanjo who visited the President also said it was usual for any president to study the budget before signing it into law.
