Nigeria’s Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinblajo on Thursday inspected the production line of the multi-billion Naira Rites Food and Beverages Company, Ososa, Odogbolu, Ogun State, South West Nigeria.
Professor Osinbajo, who arrived at the factory at about 3.10pm Nigerian time, was conducted round by the chairman, Suleiman Adeguwan.
Speaking with reporters after the inspection, the acting president said products of the company, which range from sausages, carbonated drinks and bottled water, could compare with similar ones across the world.
He said: “I don’t think there is a problem of choice for a world class product such as we have here. I think this is a great enterprise and you can see that the products are over the country.”
He said the entrepreneurial skills employed in establishing the company were a classic example of the Nigerian spirit of hard work and enterprise.
“I’m exceedingly proud to see what is going on here,” the acting president said.
He said the federal government was working to solve the problems investors in Nigeria face through the various policies and programmes it had initiated and had been pursuing vigorously.
“There have been some problems such as power and all of that we hope to resolve,” Osinbajo said,” pointing out that government was working towards creating the enabling environment for industry.
Professor Osinbajo was accompanied on the visit to the factory by Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.
