Adamawa Government has approved a N300 million street light project for the commercial border town of Mubi.
Mallam Ahmad Sajoh, Commissioner of Information and Strategy, made this known on Wednesday in Yola.
Sajoh who said the decision was taken at an executive council meeting, noted that the measure was part of government’s effort to expand its urbanisation project to other major towns apart from Yola.
He also said that the government approved the provision of operational loan for the resuscitated Mubi Burnt Bricks Factory to enable it function properly.
“You know bricks from the factory were used in the execution of various projects in former Gongola.
“We are looking forward to making the factory viable once again by using its products in many structures, particularly in meeting the 5,000 deficit of classroom blocks facing the state education authority,” Sajoh said.
He also said that the state government had approved the setting up of a Visitation Panel to look into the problems of Adamawa State University, particularly as it relates to funding.
