Adamawa State celebrates 25th Anniversary

Governor Muhammed Umar Jibrilla of Adamwa State says his administration is committed to  the massive infrastructural development, socio-political  integration  and the  creation of a stable society for the state.

The Governor stated this during a statewide broadcast to mark the 25 years Anniversary celebration of Adamawa state, after it was created out of former Gongola State.

Governor Jibrilla explained that his administration had made its  modest contribution  in the construction and rehabilitation of over Sixty-Six  Roads  within Yola metropolis and Mubi Town, within fifteen months in office.

He stressed that  work had already  commenced  on various  roads construction in the southern  zone,  including the  37.5 kilometre Kiri-Shelleng road.

According to the  Governor, the  state  government will  engage thorough  face-lift  and Rehabilitation of all  General  Hospitals  in the state.

He revealed that the Agric sector would soon  witness tremendous revolution, because the state government had procured over one hundred new tractors, farming equipments  and Agro-Chemicals to boost farming activities in the state.

Governor Jibrilla also  said the  state Civil service  had received a  greater attention through  its policy  of e-payment  of  salaries  for both state and Local Government workers.

On Internally Generated Revenue, Governor Jibrilla  reiterated the commitment of his administration to tow the path of progress and development, despite the enormous  economic challenges facing the entire nation.

He however called on the people of Adamawa state to continue to support his government for the overall development of the state.
