African beach soccer returns as one day event

The Nigerian city of Lagos is bubbling with beehive of sporting activities and fanfare as the Copa Beach Soccer fiesta and the African Beach Soccer Cup of Nations begins.

The annual Copa Lagos tourney which attracts teams from all over the world will be a one-day event instead of the usual three days and will attract teams from Nigeria and Europe.

The event which will take place at the Eko Atlantic City will see three matches played over the course of a day.

Enyimba Football Club will go head to head with the Pepsi Football Academy in the Club Challenge game while there will also be a Celebrity Match between ex-Super Eagles internationals and some selected Nigerian celebrities.

The highlight of the day will be the international game between the Beach Soccer National team of Switzerland led by Dejan Stankovic who leads the world in goals scored in Beach Soccer for 2016 with 63 goals from 28 games and the Nigerian Super Sand Eagles.

The event which is organised by Kinetic Sports will be held on the 11th of December with Beach Soccer, music and fashion as part of the day’s activities
