BODAN to enforce code of practice in borehole drilling

The Borehole Drilling Association of Nigeria BODAN says it is working in line with the Change Mantra of the current administration to improve on the dignity of labour in the sector in the country.

The President of BODAN, Mr Francis Uzoma, told Voice of Nigeria after a conference of Borehole Drilling Chief Executive Officers in Abuja, that “the Association as a professional body has resolved to improve on the profession especially on the National Code of Conduct practice in Nigeria”.

Mr Uzoma appreciated the efforts of the Nigerian Minister of Water Resources, Mr Suleiman Adamu towards improving the sector and ensuring that Nigerians enjoy quality and portable water across the country.

The BODAN President said part of what was discussed was the workers welfare and training to improve on their skills in the profession in line with the global standard in Nigeria.

He also called on government to support the professional body to ensure that it achieves its goals of ethic and professionalism in the country.
