The rescued Chibok school girl, Amina Ali, has been handed over to the Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima.
Amina was airlifted on a Nigeria Air Force Super Puma aircraft from Damboa to Maiduguri alongside her baby and the man she claims is her husband, Mohammed Hayatu.
The Acting Director of Nigerian Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman said in a statement that the girl, baby and husband were all earlier examined at the Air Force medical facility and were found to be stable and in relatively good health.
On Wednesday evening 18th of May, she was released to the care of Borno State Governor at the Government house in Maiduguri by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu after a brief ceremony.
Mother and Child are expected to be flown to Abuja on Thursday along with her parents, to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The man she claims is her husband will however remain in Maiduguri for further investigations at the Joint Intelligence Centre.
Mohammed Hayatu is said to be treated well, in line with Operation LAFIYA DOLE Rules of Engagement regarding insurgents who voluntarily surrender to the military.
