Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has sacked three of his commissioners exactly a year after they were sworn-in.
Those affected in the cabinet shake-up are the Commissioners for Tourism, Mr Folorunsho Folarin-Coker; Finance, Dr Mustapha Akinkunmi and Transportation, Dr Ekundayo Mobereola.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello, who confirmed the
development stated that the Governor had directed the Special Adviser, Arts and Culture to take over as the Acting Commissioner for Ministry
of Tourism and Culture.
In the same vein, Mr Bello added that the Special Adviser on Transportation will take over as Acting Commissioner for Transportation while the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance takes over as the Acting Commissioner for Finance pending the appointment of substantive commissioners in the respective ministries.
According to him, the Governor expresses his appreciation to the former Commissioners for their service to the State and wish them well in their future endeavours.
On the 19th of October last year, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode swore-in a
37-member Cabinet, including 23 commissioners and 14 special advisers.
