The Nigerian Minister of Communications Mr. Adebayo Shittu says the Ministry of Communication will be digitalized in three months.

The Minister said this in Abuja during a summit organised by Nigeria Information Technology Professionals in Civil and Public Service-NITPCS.

“ICT is the driving force of every facet of any dynamic society and the government should be at fore front working hard to ensure the whole country cues into ICT and e-governance processes and procedure,” Mr. Shittu said.

E-Governance and Payment

Shittu also reiterated that he would use the avenue of e-governance to fight corruption in Nigeria, pointing out that it will reduce cash inflow and every transaction which involves money will be digitalized making cash flow less visible.

He added that“payment of Salaries would be digitalized and the issue of ghost workers would be eliminated as software will be used to know the number of staff and e-governance will run across all government ministries”.
