Belgian coach Maurice Cooreman is set for a sensational return to Nigeria National League club, Ikorodu United.
Cooreman, who has handled Nigerian clubs like Heartland, Ocean Boys and Kaduna United in the past, guided the Oga Boys to promotion two seasons ago but left them to pitch his tent with Akwa United.
He was however sacked by the Promise Keepers at the end of last season following their poor showing both in the Nigeria Professional Football League and the continent.
Ikorodu United who were relegated to the NNL last term are not looking to renew the contract of Dutchman Theo de Jong, who impressed during his short stint with them last season and are keen on bringing Cooreman back.
The management of the Lagos-based outfit have entered into negotiations with Cooreman and he is expected to handle them in the NNL next season.
