Federal government assures Nigerians of better days ahead

The federal government of Nigeria has assured its people of its commitment to improving their living conditions and the general economic situation of the country.

Spokesperson for the Nigerian President, Femi Adesina gave these assurances whilst speaking on the state of the nation in Lagos.

His assurances come in the wake of the poor electricity supply and lingering fuel crisis across the country.

Mr. Adesina appealed to Nigerians to exercise more patience with the President Muhammadu Buhari led government while expressing confidence that the efforts of government will soon be yielding positive results.

He said that the upcoming trip of President Buhari is part of the continuing efforts to reposition the country in the comity of nations as well as stimulate the economy for greater performance.

“This trip is for global leaders, there are trips for the vice president, there are trips where the President is represented but there are other things where you expect to see a President, our President is not a frivolous person”.

He also decried insinuations by some members of the opposition that the country had no economic direction.

“You have a government where the vice president is manning the economy, it is clear where we are headed, I know that the direction in which we are headed include weeding out luxuries and essential foreign exchange is being warehoused for the real sector”.
