Finland celebrates centenary anniversary with projects in Africa

The Finland embassy in Abuja will celebrate the Country’s 100 years of existence with the focus on promoting education and technology development from Finland to Africa.

The Finland Second Secretary in the Embassy in Nigeria, Ms. Outi Koikkalainen said in statement that ‘CodeBus Africa´ project will arrive in Abuja next week as part of activities marking the centenary.

Ms. Koikkalainen said “while in Nigeria, our main centenary activity is the ‘CodeBus Africa’ project. It will bring together leading education and technology organisations from Finland and Nigeria, to run creative coding workshops for local students”

The ‘CodeBus Africa will visit ten countries to enlighten the people on what Finland stands for towards increase partnership with other nations of the world.

She said Finland is celebrating 100th Anniversary of its independence this year, with activities taking place throughout the year in Finland, and around the world.
