Gambia set to hold hearing for opposition leader’s appeal

The appeal court case involving opposition leader Ousainou Darboe is set for new sitting on November 14.

The case will be heard at the Gambia Court of Appeal in Banjul, judicial sources.

In July, Darboe, head of the United Democratic Party (UDP), was sentenced to three years in jail for organizing a rare demonstration in April to protest against the death in custody of a party member Solo Sandeng.
