Governor Ahmed calls for military formations in border communities

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has called for the establishment of military formations in border communities in the state.

This, he said would strengthen the security of lives and property in the affected areas and the state at large.

Governor Ahmed made the call when he received the Commandant, National Defence College Nigeria, Abuja, Rear Admiral Samuel Alade at the Government House, Ilorin.

The Governor, who commended the military for its supportive role in maintaining law and order in the state, promised that the government would continue to provide useful information to security agencies.

Governor Ahmed described the visit of military officers to the state as a proper strategy for military leadership.

The Commandant, National Defence College Nigeria, Abuja, Rear Admiral Samuel Alade had informed the Governor that a group of fifty-one officers from the College were in the state for the study tour of some strategic establishments in the state.

Rear Admiral Alade who said the team had visited Kam Industries and International Aviation College in Ilorin promised to make the report of the Group available to the state government in due course.
