A leader in a camp for Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, has told Voice of Nigeria that information reaching them from the north east, showed that all the territories under the control of boko haram had been recaptured by Nigerian troops.

The Secretary of an IDP camp in Durumi, a suburb of Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, Mr Bala Yusuf, however, appealed to the Army to intensify efforts to secure the liberated areas to enable displaced persons relocate back to their communities.

The secretary also called on the Nigerian government to maintain sustained payments of troops’ entitlements to boost their morale.

He thanked them for their commitment toward the region.
