The Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abubakar Kawu Baraje, has raised an alarm over what he described as the brewing reins of impunity that he claimed has crept into the affairs of the governing, All Progressives Congress, APC.

He also claimed the ruling party was also treading the path of the former ruling party.

The politician, now a chieftain of the APC, spoke of the travails of the senate president,  Bukola Saraki.

“Like everybody would agree, this is the party that the senate president has contributed immensely. He worked with other people to make sure that APC won the election (2015 polls).”

At a media briefing in Ilorin, Baraje said the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration was well intentioned  and came with diverse ideas of restoring the glory of the country, but found itself in the midst of some elements that were not forward looking driven.

Baraji stated that some few individuals in the ruling party had placed themselves above others.

The APC Chieftain, a one-time chairman of Nigeria Airspace Management Agency, urged the president to shun what he claimed was his apolitical stand on the challenges that had beset the ruling party.
