The Yobe State government in Northern Nigeria has begun rehabilitation and reconstruction of areas affected by boko haram insurgents.
The Acing Vice Chancellor of the Yobe State University, Dr Umaru Mele Umaru said this was necessary because the fights against insurgents have already been won by the Nigerian military.
The Acting Vice Chancellor while speaking to Voice of Nigeria in his office, said government has renovated three buildings in the school damaged by the boko haram.
“Academic activities have been fully returned in the State as the school was affected by insurgent in the time past. The students are now writing their examinations,” Dr Umaru said.
He added that students are freely moving about without any fear of insecurity.
