Islamic council calls for 2016 hajj plans implementation

Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, delegation for 2016 Hajj is in Madina, Saudi Arabia, to ensure the implementation of plans for this year’s Pilgrimage.

The Chairman supervisory committee for NSCIA, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar said that the delegation was in the Kingdom to monitor and supervise the activities of all stakeholders that were involved in hajj operations.

The Chairman was speaking at King Abdulaziz International airport in Madina.
“Actually the Amirul team is here purposely to ensure that everything that have been planned by all the stakeholders are successful, especially the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, the Consulate  and the officials  that have been given the task of organising and assuring that Nigerian Pilgrims come here safely to perform hajj and also go back home safely insha Allah. So our team is to go round and see that all this activities are been conducted as planned and ensure that our pilgrims benefit from the services they required,”Alhaji Yahaya explained.

The Chairman therefore confirmed that part of the implementation was that the planes had air lifted over 60, 000 Nigerian Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

’’We thank Almighty Allah that as at today, almost 60, 000 Nigerian pilgrims have arrived Saudi Arabia and I hope the remaining will join before the closure of border, ’’ the Chairman added.
