Kaduna launches annual International trade fair

Kaduna State Government has reassured its commitment towards improving the best atmosphere for engaging businesses and attracting investors to the State.

The State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai made the assurance at the opening ceremony of the 38th Kaduna International Trade Fair 2017.

Represented by the State Deputy Governor, Bala Bantex, El-Rufai revealed that his administration is pursuing an aggressive strategy of promoting investments in Agriculture, Mining, Power and Housing.

“The State has launched a Business Licensing Reform programme, through the State Investment Promotion Agency to help more businesses to formalise their status,” he said.

He emphasised that, “With the establishment of Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, the State was able to prohibit cash collections, leakages, multiple taxation, harassment by different agencies and also promote revenue generation.”

While declaring the fair open, Governor El-Rufa’i wished participants from across the nation success in showcasing their products and creating new links.
