Kogi Governor condemns Anambra church attack

The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello has condemned the attack on worshippers at a Catholic Church in Anambra, describing it as an “unacceptable act of inhumanity against many”.

Speaking in Lokoja through his Director General on Media and Publicity, the Governor said the perpetrators must be brought to justice to forestall future occurrence, saying the incident represents a dark day in the history of the nation.

“The act of cowardice displayed by the Anambra killers is a sad commentary on our nation and humanity as a whole. We must all rise from the ashes of mourning to show our unimpeachable desire to defend the human life from the conveyors of sadism and death.

“I sympathise with the bereaved families, the people of Anambra state, Nigerians and my brother, Governor Willie Obiano. We shall come out of this sad occurrence, stronger”.
