Lagos State Government has commenced the issuance of employment letters to 1200 primary school teachers in the state. This followed a recent recruitment exercise conducted by the Ministry of Education.
Speaking on the development, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr Ganiyu Sopeyin, congratulated the newly employed teachers urging them to reciprocate government gesture by putting in their best in the state service.
Dr Sopeyin noted that the service had a reward system which would definitely reward them for hard work, dedication and honesty.
“This is the beginning of a journey for them in the state teaching service,” he stressed.
The SUBEB Chairman stressed that the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode will continue to do more in order to provide quantitative and qualitative education in conducive atmosphere in the state adding that “more goodies are coming from the Governor”
The newly employed teachers who had earlier been sent text messages, were advised to collect their letters of employmentfrom the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board Maryland, Lagos.
