Warri Wolves have received a massive waiver as the League Management Company has postponed their match day 11 trip to Kano Pillars.
Also put on hold is the rescheduled match between Wolves and El-Kanemi Warriors slated for Wednesday June 10 at the Warri City Stadium.
The shift followed Warri Wolves request to LMC, asking for the postponement of their league games since they have no fewer than seven players in the various national teams.
“The rule stipulates that if you have five players or more in the national team, you can request for a shift in your league games,” saidEtu Moses, media manager of Warri Wolves.
“So we had no option than to exploit that opportunity and from the look of things, our request has been granted because we have been informed that our home match with El-Kanemi Warriors on Wednesday will no longer hold. So we believe same will aply for our game with Kano Pillars because they are not a team we can handle with a depleted squad,” Moses added.
Warri Wolves have three outstanding matches against El-Kanemi Warriors and 3SC at home as well as Kwara United in Ilorin.
