Former Coach of Nigeria’s Under 20 National Team, Godwin Uwua has been suspended from his duties as the Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars football Club of Makurdi in Benue State North Central Nigeria.
The suspension followed series of unimpressive home outings of the Club in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaigns as the League entered week seven.
The Management Board of Lobi Stars football Club of Makurdi announced the suspension of Coach Uwua during its emergency meeting held on Monday.
In a letter signed by the secretary of Lobi Stars Management Board Mr. Terzungwe Chugh, the Board directed Coach Uwua to handover the technical affairs of the Club to his immediate assistant, Mr. Evans Ogenyi.
The former Nigeria’s Under 20 handler will go without pay for the three weeks duration of the suspension.
Voice of Nigeria gathered that following the directive, Coach Evans Ogenyi has quickly assumed duty pending the resumption of the former Under 20 National team handler from suspension.
