Nasarawa United vows to win Federation Cup

Nasarawa United Coach, Kabiru Dogo has vowed that the Lafia club will beat Ifeanyi Ubah in the final of the Federation Cup.

Nasarawa defeated Enyimba 1-0 to reach 2016 Federation Cup final, which will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos State on Sunday.  Ifeanyi Ubah beat Crown 2-1 to reach the stage.

“The boys have this giants’ mentality that helped them to overcome their opponents to get to the final, Dogo said.

“What we are waiting for now is to lift the trophy because we believe we have what it takes to be champions.

“I have huge respect for IfeanyiUbah but my team’s recent performances have shown that we can overcome them.”

He added, “With due respect to our opponents, by the special grace of God, we are coming back to Lafia with the cup.

“All we are waiting for now is for the day to come. Right now, we are training and strategizing on how to achieve our goal.”

The Solid Miners’ manager commended the Nasarawa State Government and the management of the club for paying all outstanding allowances of the players and officials.

Dogo said, “The boys are happy with the attitude of the state government and the management. As I talk to you, they are motivated for this game.

“That is why I am confident we will get nothing less than victory.”
