Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki says the Nigerian Football Federation Bill passed recently by the 8th senate will transform the administration of football in the country.
According to him, the President will assent to the NFF Bill soon.
Senator Saraki dropped this hint in Ilorin the Kwara state capital during an interview with newsmen.
The senate president described the bill as very important to the football industry as the bill when finally signed into Law, will make the administration of football to be in line with international best practices.
“We have not always conform with the international status that guided the administration of football in the past but by this bill, we will now fall in line and by so doing, it will now transform the administration of our football’’, Saraki added
The senate president spoke further that Nigerians are not lawless people and that after passing the law, people particularly stakeholders in the football industry will obey it.
