The technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has been directed to present a technical report on what transpired during the AFCON qualification to the minister of Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung in period of four weeks.
This directive is an outcome of the NFF and the sports Ministry meeting held on Tuesday 5th April at the national Stadium Abuja.
The minister also directed the NFF board to reorganise it’s technical committee in order to achieve better results.
On the issue of hiring a foreign coach, Dalung gave the NFF board a directive to report back to the ministry on how they intend to source for funds to pay the manager.
He reiterated that the issue of hiring and firing of coaches is one of the things responsible for the county’s failure to qualify for AFCON.
The Tuesday meeting was attended by NFF board members, led by the president Amaju Pinick, some ministry officials and members of the NFF technical committee and staff.
