In a bid to diversify her economy from oil and make the sector robust, Nigeria has perfected plans to host her first ever summit on financing the creative industry in the country.
The summit is billed to take place in Lagos South West Nigeria from the 17th to the 18th, of July 2017.
Nigeria’s Information and Culture minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed would give the opening address while the key-note address is to be delivered by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
The main objective of the 2 day conference is to create a platform which will provide key information on the essential elements of financing film, television & music production In Nigeria.
The targeted participants include; Television & film producers, banks executives, copyright lawyers, students in the creative industry, artists, actors and media practitioners.
The event draws from a cross section of speakers from around the world and Nigeria, some of the experienced resource persons and includes Rachel Glaister – EVP International Brands & Press; Graham Spencer – SVP EMEA South, Lindsey Oliver – MD Chiswick Park Studios; Sanjay Salil – MD MediGuru; Jason Njoku – CEO Ikoro TV; Alex Okosi – Senior Vice President & Managing Director at Viacom International Media Networks Africa; Kene Mkparu – Founder and Group MD/CEO of Filmhouse Cinemas and FilmOne Production/Distribution and Pai Gamde – Acting Head, Corporate Services Division, The Nigerian Stock Exchange among many others.
