Nigeria vows to end kidnapping on Kaduna – Abuja road

The Nigerian government has reaffirmed its commitment to end kidnapping and armed robbery along Kaduna – Abuja express way.

The Minister of Interior, Abdurrahman Dambazau disclosed this to newsmen during a working visit to Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria.

He expressed government concern on the increase of kidnapping along Kaduna – Abuja express way, adding that it’s the responsibility of government to protect lives and property of the citizens.

Dambazau further stated that a joint security is already on ground to reduce the menace. 

Speaking on the recent communal crises that occurred in Kajuru local government area of the State, the Minister sympathised with the community for the loss of lives and property.

The Minister appealed to the people of the community to abstain from reprisal attack and also assured them of government’s efforts in handling the situation, saying, anybody found guilty would be prosecuted.
