Nigerian Army ambushes and kills boko haram terrorists

Elements of 22 Brigade Garrison has carried out a clearing operation at Dalore camp in which they killed 19 boko haram terrorists among whom was Ameer of Dalore.

This is contained in a statement by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman.

The troops also captured 2 AK-47 Rifles, 1 Small Machine Gun and 1 Hand Grenade and recovered 4 pickup vehicles.

According to Colonel Usman, “the troops also rescued 67 hostages from the terrorists. The freed hostages are undergoing screening at Internally Displaced Persons in Dikwa.

IMG-20160321-WA0002Unfortunately, during the operation the troops Mine Resistant Anti-Personnel (MRAP) vehicle ran into an Improvised Explosive Device and had a damaged  tyre.

In a related development, Troops of the Nigerian Army 7 Brigade have ambushed and killed 7 boko haram terrorists at Dawashi.

Colonel Usman said “the gallant troops that laid in wait at the terrorists suspected crossing point engaged them on sight, killed the 7 terrorists and recovered 1 Peugeot Station Wagon loaded with 2,010 litres of Premium Motor Spirit packed in 67 Jerri cans, uniforms, some materiels and Improvised Explosive making Devices (IEDs).
