The Head of the Civil Service of Nigeria, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita has reassured civil servants in the country that efforts are in progress at the highest level of government to pay the arrears owed federal workers, soon.
In her goodwill message to the Nigerian workforce, commemorating the 2017 Worker’s Day Celebration in Abuja, Mrs Oyo-Ita, said that the federal government under President Muhammmadu Buhari is particularly concerned about the welfare of the Nigerian workers.
According to her the government is ready to leave no stone unturned to meet their rightful demands.
“As the nation’s economy bounces out of recession and returns to the path of sustainable growth, attention will be paid to the other welfare matters of the Nigeria Workers in line with the 2017-2020 Economic Recovery and Growth Plan,” she said.
She enjoined the Nigeria Workers to sustain their focused support of the current administration for effective service delivery to the citizenry.
Let us maintain our resolve to condemn and eschew corruption in all its forms, internalize the change agenda of the current administration by allowing the change that each and every one desires to begin with him/her.
