Nigerian league: MFM FC maintains lead

New comers, MFM Football Club of Lagos, hope to maintain their lead in the Nigeria Professional Football League as match day seven holds in different centers across the country, this weekend.

The team leads the league table with 13 points, two more than second placed Enugu Rangers as well as third placed Kano Pillars.

The Mountain of Fire Ministries Football Club will also be playing away against Heartland Football Club of Owerri.

Second placed Enugu Rangers will host Akwa United while Kano Pillars welcome Plateau United.

On Wednesday, another new comer, Ikorodu United received a 3-0 bashing from their host, Akwa United, in a rescheduled match played in Uyo.

With that result, Ikorodu United are now 16th in the league with five points from six matches played so far.
