Nigeria Premier League club, Akwa United is to relocate to Calabar, the Cross River state for two weeks pre-season camping ahead of 2016 /2017 NPFL.
The Media officer of the club Uwem Ekoh in a press release confirmed that the team will leave Uyo for Calabar tomorrow in order to give the players enough preparation for the league.
According to him, “We are going there so that players can have concentration for tactical training and prepare well for the upcoming season.”
Ekoh hinted that quality players will be recruited this season to beef up the team for next season.
He disclosed that negotiations are still on with the managers and the clubs of the players penciled down for registration.
” Negotiations to get the players we are targeting are almost completed, the chairman is seriously on it, very soon we will unveil our new players as we did with the Technical Adviser ” he stated.
