Rangers FC has defeated MFM FC 2-0 in a rescheduled match day 30 of the Nigeria Professional Football League clash in Enugu on Thursday morning.
The game was abandoned in the second half on Wednesday due to a heavy down pour and water logged pitch.
Chiamaka Madu scored Rangers’ first goal in the 15th minute.
In the restart of the game, Ifeanyi George doubled Rangers’ lead from the penalty spot in the 47th minute after he was fouled inside the box.
Despite the defeat, MFM retain their second spot in the table with 49 points, five adrift of leaders Plateau United.
For Rangers, the win takes them from 17th position to 14th on 39 points in the table.
