Rangers International of Enugu will host Warri Wolves on Friday June 24 in one of the Nigeria Professional Football League week 24 matches.
The match is billed to be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
On 36 points from 22 matches and third on the log, the Flying Antelopes will likely make the best of their home advantage to get the maximum points against the Warri side that are equally desperate to close ranks with the front runners.
Rangers have a mixed fortune in their last five matches with two wins, two loses and a draw and according to Coach, Imama Amapakabo, the former league leaders are desperate to catch up with both Rivers United and Wikki Tourists, which are both placed second and first on the table respectively.
“We are not ready to drop points unnecessarily because we are very much anxious to catch up with both Wikki and Rivers United, who were formerly below us,” he said.
Warri Wolves are not faring better with a solitary win in their last match in Warri against Plateau United being the only victory they have recorded in their last five matches.
The South-South side are placed 12th on the table having gained 30 points from 22 matches and will fancy their chances in today’s late kick-off in Enugu.
