NSE market bullish as capitalisation rises by 0.76%

Activities on the floor of the Nigerian stock exchange came to a close with the market capitalisation and all share index, rising by 76 per cent.

Activities also marked the end of the market activities for the month of May.

While the all share index appreciated by 221.72 basis points to close at 29,498.31 basis points, the market capitalisation rose by 77 billion Naira to close at 10, 198 trillion Naira.

The market traded 3.43 million shares worth 3.34 billion Naira in 4,905 deals.

Thirty-one stocks appreciated while 19 depreciated at the close of today’s dealings.

The top three gainers are;


UACN Property Development Company Limited gained the most with a closing price of N2.46 per share, gaining 22 kobo or 9.82 per cent.

Axamansard Insurance Plc closed at N2.25 per share, gaining 17 kobo or 8.17 per cent.

Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc closed at 98 kobo, gaining 7 kobo or 7.69 per cent.

Top losers are;


Guaranty Trust Bank Plc  led with a closing price of N34.01 per share, falling by N1.79 or 5 per cent.

N.E.M Insurance Company Nigeria Plc followed with a closing price of 95 kobo per share, falling by 5 kobo or 5 per cent.

Seplat Petroleum Development Company which led the losers for Tuesday’s’s market again fell today by 5 per cent or N18.51 to close at N351.99 per share.
