Police parades criminal suspects in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has paraded 40 criminal suspects for alleged robbery, kidnapping, cattle rustling and car snatching.

The State Commissioner of Police, Adamu Ibrahim while addressing newsmen in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria disclosed that 20 of the suspects including two women belonged to gangs that specialised in robbery and car snatching.

He said 12 other suspects belonged to four different kidnapping gangs located in Kachia, Chukun, Kagarko and Kajuru Local Government Areas of the State.

According to him, eight of the suspects were suspected cattle rustlers, arrested in Kachia and Chukun Local Government Areas.

Ibrahim said six vehicles and two anti-car tracking devices were recovered from the car snatchers.

The commissioner added that 11 guns including four AK47 rifle and two pistols, with over two hundred and 30 rounds of ammunitions were also recovered from the suspects.

He appealed to residents to be more vigilant and assist the police with vital information on the hideout of suspects.
