Pope Francis has appointed the head of the Holy See’s diplomatic mission to Nigeria.
He is Monsignor Antonio Guido Filipazzi.
Born on October 8, 1963, Dr. Fillipazi was ordained a priest on October 10, 1987 and is a Doctor in Canon Law.
He entered the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See in 1992 and has served in the Apostolic Nunciature in Sri Lanka, Austria, Germany, Indonesia and the Section for Relations with States of the Secretariat of State.
He speaks Italian, English, French and German.
