President Muhammadu Buhari is to commission 500 housing units built by the Sokoto state government for civil servants in the statel, to ease challenges of accommodation.
The commissioning is part of the president’s one day official visit to Sokoto state, the Seat of the Caliphate on Saturday, the 5th of November.
According to a statement by Mr. Imam Imam, the spokesman of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, ‘’the President while in Sokoto will officially inaugurate the 500 unit housing estate built by the Sokoto State Government for civil servants at Kalambaina.”
The statement added that the President would use the occasion of the visit to witness the Durbar organised, as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of the appointment of Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar to the throne.
The Kalambaina civil servant housing project started in 2014 under former governor Aliyu Wamako and was completed by the administration of Governor Aminu Tambuwal. .
