Rangers beat Wolves in Nigerian league

Rangers International Football club of Enugu defeated Warri Wolves 2 – 1 in the Nigeria Professional Football League match played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

With this victory, the Enugu side are now second on the table having played 23 games.

The Match Day 24 encounter began on a lively note with Rangers taking the lead in the 7th minute through Obinna Nwobodo.

The home side doubled their lead in the 39th minute through a Godwin Aguda penalty after he was fouled in the box.

A blunder by Keeper Nana Bonsu gifted Warri Wolves a goal which was scored by Zinte Udeh in the 43rd minute.

Match Day 24 fixtures to be played on Saturday will see El-kanemi Warriors hosting Lobi Stars in Maiduguri while Heartland will face Akwa United in the eastern city of Owerri.
