He said “we must not compromise the unity of Nigeria despite party differences as there is more that unites us than things that seems to divide us”

He called on the Minister of Transportation, Chief Rotimi Ameachi, the immediate past governor of the state to make sacrifice for the development of Rivers state.

“The state needs total peace to get more investors to come and invest and our people to continue their daily activities. After all I served as Chief Ameachi’ s Chief of Staff and there is mutual respect among us and Rivers state most move forward”

Wike called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to conduct the inconclusive elections for the senate and some House of Representatives seats to enable the state be represented at the federal parliament.

He said “INEC should conduct the elections even if it meant a favour for Rivers state. The state is ready even this Saturday for the elections, we are ready”
