Stock Exchange capitalisation closes at N9.841 trillion

Activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange today, Thursday, ended with the market capitalisation closing at 9.841 trillion Naira, while the All Share Index closed at 28,467.61 basis points.

Both market capitalisation and the All Share Index gained by 0.64 percent, where the market capitalisation gained 63 billion Naira, the All Share Index gained 181.18 basis points when compared to previous closings of 9,778 trillion Naira and 28,286.43 basis points.

Investors traded 4.19 million shares worth 4.962 billion Naira in 3,944 deals.

A total of 30 stocks appreciated on Thursday while 14 stocks depreciated.

The top three gainers and losers are;

Gainers
UACN PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LIMITED led the gainers’ table when it closed at N2.14 per share, gaining 19 kobo or 9.74 percent when compared to Wednesday’s closing price of N1.95 per share.

LIVESTOCK FEEDS PLC followed with a closing price of 89 kobo, gaining 7 kobo or 8.54 percent when compared to Wednesday’s closing price of 82 kobo per share.

GLAXO SMITHKLINE CONSUMER NIGERIA PLC closed at N16.80 per share, gaining 80 kobo or five percent as against previous closing price of N16 per share.

Losers
Leading the losers’ pack is PZ CUSSONS NIGERIA PLC with a closing price of N17.85 kobo, depreciating by N1.15 or 6.05 percent when compared to Wednesday’s closing price of N19 per share.

Next is MOBIL OIL NIGERIA PLC with a closing price of N299.63 per share, falling by N15.77 or five percent when compared to previous closing price of N315.40 per share.

HONEYWELL FLOUR MILLS PLC depreciated by six kobo or 4.65 percent when it closed at N1.23 per share as against previous closing price of N1.29 per share.
