Three male suicide bombers have died in a failed attack on University of Maiduguri at early hours of Friday.
The suicide bombers who were intercepted by vigilant security officials and vigilantes at the University, immediately detonated their explosives.
Two security officers and two vigilantes were however injured during the attack.
The remains of the three suicide bombers were evacuated to Specialists Hospital Maiduguri.
Voice of Nigeria Correspondent, Salisu Waziri, who spoke to some of the students learnt that the incident took place when most of the students were in their hostels while very few of them were reading in classes for the ongoing second semester exams.
The students also lamented the continued attempt attack in the school which they said was affecting their studies.
It would be recalled that there was a similar failed attack last week in the same school.
They however called on the school authority to provide more security in the school.
Meanwhile normalcy has since been restored to the school and more security personal have been deployed to beef up security in the environment.
