Super Eagles resume camp ahead of Mali clash

The Nigeria Super Eagles Camp will open in France today as players invited for the double header against Mali and Luxembourg get down to begin preparations for the double header.

Defenders Kenneth Omeruo, Gbenga Arokoyo and Leon Balogun, midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Raheem Lawal, and forwards Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo and Alex Iwobi are all expected in camp by Wednesday morning.

Already a delegation of nine players led by Lazio’s Ogenyi Onazi left Nigeria Tuesday night also to join their colleagues.

Others are goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Elderson Echiejile, Musa Muhammed, Abdullahi Shehu and Kingsley Madu, midfielder Etebo Oghenekaro and forwards Aminu Umar and Brown Ideye.

The team is to be handled by Coach Salisu Yusuf and his interim Assistant Coaches Imama Amapakabo and Kennedy Boboye.

The Super Eagles will take on Mali at the Stade Robert Diochon in Rouen on Friday, before travelling to Luxembourg City on Saturday, ahead of the game with Luxembourg at the Josy Barthel Stadium on Tuesday evening.
