Super Falcons qualifies for 2016 AWCON final

The Super Falcons of Nigeria has progressed to the final of the 2016 Africa Women Cup of Nation after defeating Bayana Bayana of South Africa 1-0 on Tuesday evening.

It was Desire Oparanozie who scored the only goal of the game in the 55th minute.

Nigeria will now meet host Cameroon in the final game of the tournament on Saturday.

Meanwhile, hosts Cameroon have aslo qualified for the final  after defeating Ghana 1-0 in Tuesday’s semi-final in Yaounde.

It is Cameroon’s third AWCON final (they lost in the 2004 and 2014 finals to Nigeria’s Super Falcons).

Ghana will hope to take something from the tournament when they face Africa in the third place match on Friday.
