The Super Sand Eagles will arrive in Nigeria on Friday following their exit from the ongoing FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas.
Abu Azeez, who was the top scorer of the Nigerian side with four goals, feels that the team were unlucky to have lost out on penalties to Iran in their final group game on Monday.
The Audu Adamu side lost 2-1 on penalties after full time scores ended 4-4.
“We will leave Bahamas on Thursday to arrive in Nigeria on Friday,” Azeez said.
“We were unlucky to have lost on penalties we did our very best but hopefully we will surpass this stage in the next edition.”
Nigeria finished third in Group B behind Italy and Iran, with their only win against Mexico in their second game in the tournament.
