Chika Chukwumerije, who recently elected to represent athletes on the board of the (NTF) disclosed this in an interview in Abuja.

“In the manifesto, there is a ten point action plan. We are going to make sure we pass a constitution that also protects the interest of the athletes.

We are going to float the Association of Taekwondo Athletes in Nigeria to give us an eye into every state so that the feedback mechanism to their representative will be much easier and more effective.

We talked about designing operational guideline that makes team selection into the national teams fairer, more transparent.

We mentioned the global athletes’ license system which is a very important ticket for athletes that have international ambition.

If they don’t get this license they will not be able to compete internationally. I talked about that I am going to stand firm against any.’’. he said
