Tanzania coach, Salum Mayanga has named 22 players for the COSAFA Cup scheduled for 25 June – 5 July in Rustenburg, South Africa.
Mayanga has included five new faces in his squad in an attempt to give them experience for future international assignments.
The first timers include Amim Abdulkarim from Toto Africans, Raphael Daudi of Mbeya City, Azam’s Shaban Iddi, Stahimili Mbonde from Mtibwa Sugar and Salmin Hoza of Mbao.
Elius Maguli, who plays for Omani side Dhofar FC has been recalled after missing out on the recent Total Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2019 qualifier against Lesotho.
The Taifa Stars are in Group A with Mauritius, Malawi and Angola.
