Togolese government promises sustained partnership with Nigeria

Togolese government is to sustain its partnership with Nigeria in building viable economies within the West African sub-region.

The Acting Togolese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Tamunowe Tarzo said this on Monday when he paid a courtesy call on the Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed at the Government House, Ilorin.

The envoy, who recalled the age-long relationship between Nigeria and Togo in the ECOWAS, promised that his country would continue to maintain strong ties with Nigeria for economic prosperity.

Mr. Tarzo thanked the Kwara State Government for accommodating Togolese nationals in the state, pointing out that he was in the state to interact with his fellow citizens residing there.

In his response, the Kwara state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed promised that the government and its people would continue to be receptive to foreigners irrespective of their nationalities.

He urged the people of the state to ensure harmonious and peaceful co-existence with others.
