Nigerian Army troops of 121 Battalion, deployed in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, have discovered one of the abducted girls from Government Secondary School, Chibok: Maryam Ali Maiyanga.
Maryam was found on Saturday, at about 6.00am, while soldiers were screening some escapees from boko haram terrorists’ hideouts in Sambisa forest.
She was also carrying a 10-month-old son, named Ali. She is at the unit’s medical facility for a proper medical check up.
Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman who revealed this, said it was “imperative to state that troops have been working round the clock to clear remnants of boko haram terrorists wherever they might be hibernating and also rescue all persons held hostages by terrorists.”
